Planning for the future is tough in midst of the COVID-19 pandemic that has led to widespread cancellations and rescheduling.

We wanted to let you know that as of today, we are fully committed to holding the 2020 APHA Annual Meeting and Expo in San Francisco, Oct. 24-28, as planned. We remain hopeful that this crisis will have abated with ample time to spare before APHA 2020.

We have received over 9,300 abstracts, and the abstract review process is underway. Our Expo is 64% sold out, and we continue to welcome new exhibitors and sponsors. We anticipate we will be on track to open registration and housing on June 1. As in previous years, you will be able to purchase access to watch premier sessions live and on-demand.

The health and safety of our attendees and staff are of paramount importance. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 outbreak and will post updates regularly to keep you informed. In the meantime, stay safe, stay healthy and check back here for updates about APHA 2020. Visit APHA’s COVID-19 page for resources and helpful links. And please share our Get Ready resources as widely as possible.

The coronavirus pandemic is a rapidly evolving public health emergency. We are thankful for the thousands of knowledgeable and skilled professionals in the field working around the clock to stop the spread and prevent further infection. We know these are challenging times, and we at APHA are working hard to help you and everyone you care about.

Thank you for being part of our public health family.
