“People need to be informed, but not afraid,” said APHA Executive Director Georges Benjamin, MD, who continues to be a go-to source for journalists looking for expert perspectives on the pandemic. Countering the “infodemic” of misinformation about COVID-19 has been a key APHA role all year.
